The Eden Project
-For more information visit : www.edenproject.com

The Eden Project near
St Austell in Cornwall is less than an hours drive (on a good day)
from Prussia Cove. It has been described as the 8th wonder of the
world as space age technology meets the lost world in a giant 50 metre
deep crater. The size of 35 football pitches, it has been sculpted to
make a living theatre of plants and people - a global garden that was
planted late in summer 2000. For an entry fee of £9.50 per adult you
can visit now from 9.00am to 5.00pm. There is plenty of parking and
the site is well signposted from the A30. Allow your self a good 2-3
hours in all, it takes at least an hour and a half to go round the bio-domes.
Dogs are not allowed into the project. |
St Michaels Mount (National Trust)
-For more information visit: http://www.stmichaelsmount.co.uk
(under development)
 |
Well
worth a visit, St.Michael's Mount is located a few hundred yards from
the beach at Marazion, 2 miles from Prussia Cove. At low tide a
causeway runs from Marazion to St.Michaels's Mount, at other times
small boats ferry visitors to and from the Mount.
According to legend St Michael's Mount is part of the lost kingdom of
Lyonesse, where King Arthur's knights once rode. Today, it gives
spectacular views over Mount's Bay and an interesting tour of the
castle. |

Minack Theatre
-For more information about Theatre and Productions visit www.minack.com
 |
The Minack Theatre is
the most famous open-air theatre in Britain, from above it looks as
though some wandering Greeks, two thousand years ago, had carved a
theatre into the granite cliff. In fact, only sixty five years ago
there was nothing except a sloping gully of gorse and heather and
below that, the sea.
In 1988 a Visitor Centre was opened which houses a permanent record of
the creation of the Minack Theatre. The Centre has recently been
refurbished with enhanced model and audio-visual elements.
During the ’97-’98 winter a new entrance complex and coffee shop
were completed and now offer improved facilities for audience,
visitors and staff alike. |
