Glendurgan (National Trust)

Set in a wooded valley dropping steeply to the hamlet of Durgan on the shore of the beautiful Helford estuary, Glendurgan is one of the great sub-tropical gardens of the South West. Exotic trees and shrubs flourish amidst open glades carpeted with wild flowers.
The famous laurel maze of 1833 and the Giant's Stride are especially popular with children.
There is a tea-room, shop and plant sales at reception.

Trelissick

This tranquil garden and estate is renowned for its glorious position at the head of Carrick Roads, with panoramic views down the estuary towards Falmouth and the sea.
The garden has been planted with an abundance of those tender shrubs so characteristic of Cornwall - camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias - together with many rare varieties of hydrangea and a newly-established Cornish apple orchard.
Walks through 500 acres of riverside woods and parkland sweeping down to the water's edge can be enjoyed all the year round.
Trelissick also features an art and craft gallery, a restaurant, shop and plant sales.
